We’re planning an exciting Ladies’ Bowling Competition - a fun, social and competitive afternoon where women from across Kameeldrift will roll for strikes, laughs and a great cause.

Expect teams, individual prizes, a lively raffle, light refreshments and plenty of friendly banter — all while raising funds for school maintenance, learner therapy and whole‑school development.

Lines in the Water, Hope for the Future - Kaalvoet Ligbaken Fishing Competition

Together we cast hope!

Last Saturday the dam came alive with laughter, friendly rivalry and the steady slap of water as families, friends and neighbours gathered for the annual Kaalvoet Ligbaken Fishing Competition. Anglers of all ages cast their lines not just for the biggest catch, but to reel in support for our local school’s vital projects — from maintenance of change rooms and toilets to therapy for underprivileged learners.

Highlights from the day included a junior anglers’ heat full of enthusiasm, a surprise biggest-catch by a newcomer and generous prize donations from local businesses. While trophies and prizes made for great photos, the real win was the community spirit: volunteers setting up stalls, parents cheering on children, and sponsors covering costs so all proceeds go straight to the school.

Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, donated prizes, or volunteered. Your support means safer facilities, better resources in the classroom, and brighter futures for the children of Kameeldrift.
